On an electromobility adventure since 1998!
IZIVIA, on an electromobility adventure that dates back to 1998. IZIVIA is an abbreviation of the SOciété pour le DEveloppement des TRansports ELectriques (company for the development of electric transport), and was set up to focus on onboard electricity (battery hire for heavy duty vehicles), before trialling mobility projects on behalf of EDF (and often in partnership with EDF): Kleber with Toyota, SAVE with Renault in Les Yvelines, Mini-E in Paris… The ultimate goal: to test the performance of electric vehicles (EV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV), as well as of charging facilities, and to understand the expectations of users.
In 2011, sales of EV and RHV sped up, even though prices were still high for the general public and the range was still low. Demand has been there ever since, and continues to grow. In 2015, 20,000 EV were registered in France. All car manufacturers now have an electric model. 10,000 charging points have been installed throughout the country. IZIVIA has turned a corner with the services it offers, and has managed to establish itself as a mobility operator.
Basing itself on the model of a start-up, IZIVIA is flexible and innovative, with a personal touch, and is now flourishing. A hive of technical and commercial engineers pool their knowledge to offer off-the-shelf, customised solutions suited to the market.
IZIVIA offers businesses, local authorities and energy syndicates services based on their network of charging points. This comprehensive range of services includes the supply and installation of charging facilities, technical management and the supervision of data generated by the charging points, combined with customer relations and a responsive, available maintenance service.
In 2015, IZIVIA began to grow and adapt to the needs of EV drivers looking for more charging stations. As a result, it now operates the charging points on the Corri-Door network, created on the initiative of EDF, BMW, Renault, Nissan, Volkswagen and Paris Tech, and thanks to funding from the European Commission. IZIVIA has rolled out this network of 200 rapid charging points available on motorways throughout France: IZIVIA therefore became a national operator in 2016.
But IZIVIA does not rest on its laurels, and its added value lies in constantly developing its in-house data management tools, with a commitment to innovation and staying one step ahead. Regarded as a connected, innovative, flexible expert, it adapts to the needs of its clients.
The journey continues.
Through its activities, IZIVIA is committed to promoting “low-carbon” projects and sustainable development. As well as this, in keeping with the commitments made by the EDF Group, the health and safety of our employees is one of our number one priorities at all times.
Last but not least, in order to respond better to the needs and expectations of our clients and stakeholders, ever since 2006, IZIVIA has been committed to securing certification for its environmental system. To continue to improve, we are now moving towards an environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001: 2015.
The activities affected by this certification are charging facilities for electric vehicles and onboard power.
Through its commitments, IZIVIA’s management demonstrates its involvement in and desire for the continuous improvement of its environmental performance:
These commitments will be expressed clearly and understandably at all levels of the business, disseminated throughout the company, and easily accessible in the workplace.
The success of our Health, Safety and Environment policy is the responsibility of everyone who has anything to do with IZIVIA.
THE MANAGING DIRECTOR
IZIVIA boasts more than 18 years of experience in the electric mobility sector.
Our teams, especially our IT developers, work hard to improve our tools all the time, to offer new services, and stay at the cutting edge of innovative.
IZIVIA’s size means we can be responsive and offer our customers made-to-measure solutions.
It is our belief that electric mobility requires open systems that allow users to switch from one operator to another with ease.
To offer the best quality of service, the charging points on our charging network must be connected to our supervision tool. Our charging services are available via the latest communication tools (Smartphones, app etc.).
IZIVIA is a modestly sized company, which means our clients know their point of contact. This is a fundamental part of our philosophy.
As a subsidiary of the EDF Group, IZIVIA promotes a low-carbon world, to which electric mobility contributes.
